Lifehouse Concert

Late post again. Supposed to be posted last May 29, 2011.

I've been up by 7 am which happens so seldom, and since sleep has fled my eyes I'll do a recap of what has been going on my mind lately. Also, this is for the benefit of my Twitter friends who have been drowned by my love for a band.

So there. You already have an idea to where this is going.

My mind was blown last Saturday night. Crazy it sound but I still have that hangover. Why would not I be?! IT IS Lifehouse, baby!!!!!

Since that said day (Saturday), I was so hype. I did pre-concert. Note that I don't have a ticket just yet so I texted all those who I know love the band as well. To may dismay, not one is as sure as me in my pursuit. Blame it on money and on 'the early' annoucement/invite I did.

How I did I get in? Here's how: It was exactly 7 o'clock when I decided I will go, I must go. Whom with? It's my father! He's been telling me since he arrived that we should watch Lady Gaga's concert (I am too preoccupied those days prior, I am not such a fan, and besides it's too expensive), so it's a not. He also offered that he'll go with me for LH's (he was a concert-goes back then) but I felt it's unfair for he isn't a real fan, and somewhat awkward.

If my memory serves me right. It was back in 2008 when I met their albums (Thanks to my Brother who is a huge fan of music and of them). I could barely remember the first time, but the love I've had then is beyond oblivion, I can't get them off.

I could go on a day even weeks just listening to their songs, or if hyperbole preys me, my days and weeks could carry on with just one song. Special mention to the "repeat one song" button.

What is it? Rather what are the things that Lifehouse contributed in me then? And the realizations I have now?

First is they make you fall in love (if you already are, lucky you, makes it more colorful); second, if you're on complicated scenario, they too have songs for you, which I say could make you fall to tears; next is they make you embrace music even more (not just them, of course! Know that I'm a sucker for music and this could sound bias 'cause they are my top band on the list); while realization now is that I want to say sorry for ditching music off my life (not literally, not totally) I still get to listen to songs, but as often as I did before. It be because I tend to be busy? (ah, not so me this past 6months) Or because of turn of events? Other or-reason was having my Brother's iPod broke. Though he manage to have another but it was a video one so kind of heavy and kind of complicated for at that time to use so I said no.

But what is certain is that I am so back to music! I have missed them so very much! Pinky promise to buy something that could store up beyond imagined. I have one actually but its memory is not applaud-able. That's why upgrading it IS a must.

To these guys named Jason Wade, Rick, Bryce, and Ben. Thank you, thank you. You not only made one of bucket list come true, but also brought back color to my life. Literally. :))

Reality, time is ticking, I'm losing my once chance, I'm losing this my loves. LOL. I just have to thank Mamang Pedicab and LRT. We arrived at 10 minutes past 8pm. Show time starts at 8pm. Sad we were late but what made it sadder was we haven't got tickets yet! More sadder was all money changers were already closed. That's what a late comer gets. Back and forth, here and there, was the preface of the night. You can just imagine how upset I was. Verge of giving up, told my Dad that we should try if ticket office would accept bill that isn't peso. The girl laughed it off and said we might try on Save More, run my life again, yet no avail. Seems like every money changer there is ends at 8pm. Time check. 8.28pm. Lose hope. With doubts if I will still go on with this journey, I said to my father that we try SM.

Time ticking. Sweat lingering. Giving up and better try next time comes in. Luckily, just finally. We were able to get the money changed. Time check 8.39pm.

Run back in Araneta. This time smile on my sleeves[less] LOL. Asked the lady on ticketing if it already started (of course I knew it did). She said there are performances beforehand (Not sure how long will it take 'cause we weren't able to see the start of The Script's concert last year). From now, I know you know the reason why. Back in the lady, I wasn't sure she saying the truth. She's pokerface and looks like she'd do things for the sake of selling. Fortunately, there's a few who get tickets same time we did. We're not alone.

Then came the guy who gets the ticket. I asked the same question, answered me just like the pokerface lady. Run.

Saw couple of people still outside, no heavy sounds heard. Opened the door and... Ahhhhhhh!!! It hasn't not started yet!!! And the rest is history. A memorable history. :)
